Kinematics

Kinematics is distance, scalars, vectors, displacement, average speed, velocity, and acceleration. I choose this picture of me walking my dog because it shows a lot of kinematics. Distance is the total path length. My distance of travel was around ten miles from my house. I drove to a dog park and then let my puppy play with other dogs there. My displacement was 0 since i left my house went to the dog park and everything, then came back to my house. This made displacement to 0. My average speed, velocity, and acceleration can be shown through graphs and math if i took down data from that day. Sadly i did not so I cannot show the awesome math equations i learned in science class. This is how kinematics is shown in everyday life.

This assignment was to find something that relates to physics in everyday life. So, for this assignment i choose to take a picture of my text book. This shows the relationship between two variables. When i throw my text books on the ground cause i am mad, there are two variables involved. The force at which I throw the textbook makes the textbook hit the ground faster than if i used no force and dropped it. Also, the point at which i throw the book causes the time in which the book hits the ground to vary. If i stand on a bridge and throw the book, the time spent between my hands and the ground will be different than if i am just throwing it from where i stand. So, i now know how physics interacts in my everyday life.

Who am i

My name is Pono Choy and i am a senior at Kamehameha. I live in Alewa Heights in Kalihi with my family of 5. I have an older brother and a younger sister that either went to or are in Kamehameha. I like to play sports and hang out with my friends and family. I have taken biology and chemistry already, and than took a year off to focus on other subjects. Science is not my worst class, but not my favorite class either. I am taking college algebra this semester and hopefully taking trigonometry next semester. I would like to pass this course with an above average grade. I choose this picture because i like hanging out with my friends so i thought i would put in a picture of me doing just that. This is me summarized in a hundred words while talking about the stuff mr. blake wanted covered.
